With adequate levels of hygiene, sanitation, nutrition and clean water, is there still a need for vaccination?
Vaccination is necessary!
Good hygiene, sanitation, clean water, and nutrition alone are insufficient for stopping infectious diseases.
While better hygiene, sanitation, good nutrition and clean water help protect people from infectious diseases, many infections can spread regardless of how clean we are. If people are not vaccinated, diseases will quickly spread.
Wherever children are not vaccinated, their lives and their communities are at risk.
