Education, education, education! It’s important to get parents, young people and everyone concerned about vaccines to understand that vaccines are important and safe. The science is clear on the value vaccines provide.
Vaccination saves 2-3 million lives each year. By protecting children against serious diseases, vaccines play a central role in ending preventable child deaths.
It may be that some people don’t understand the serious threats from outbreaks of preventable diseases in un-vaccinated persons and communities, because thanks to successful vaccination efforts many of the diseases that vaccines prevent are no longer common!
When seeking information on vaccines safety, it is important to reference trustworthy sites and sources on the Internet. WHO provides a list of websites with vaccine information for parents. You can access this list right HERE (external link, data charges may apply)
